NIGERIAN NAVY RECRUITMENT RESULT 2013/2014

The underlisted Candidates were successful at the Credentials Screening and Aptitude Test into the Nigerian Navy Basic Training School (Batches 23 and 24).

Shortlisted candidates are to report at the Nigerian Navy Basic Training School, Onne, Port Harcourt for interview according to the grouping and dates scheduled for their states:

Masters Degree Scholarship

University of Pavia Masters Degree

The University of Pavia (UNIPV), in order to promote international cooperation with the Developing Countries, offers scholarships for selected Masters Studies at the University of Pavia or at the Institute for Advanced Study of Pavia (IUSS) during the academic year 2013-2014.

The University and its students decided to create the ‘Fund for Cooperation & Knowledge – in and out of Pavia’. The Fund is financed thanks to the contribution both of the students (2 Euros each) and of the University itself. The Fund is intended to provide scholarships to students from Developing Countries, who wish to study one year at the University of Pavia, and to UNIPV students who would like to spend some months in a Developing Country for studying, researching and/or training.

The Fund and the selection of the students are managed by a Committee composed by students, professors and officers of the University of Pavia, plus a representative of the DGDC, for a total of 15 members. The Committee will select - among the applicants – the students who will receive a scholarship for the Academic Year 2013-2014.
There is a call for applications currently opened to candidates from certain Developing Countries. The deadline is 12.00 pm (Italian time) of the 10 May 2013.
Work schedule:
- March 2013: opening of the call for applications;
- April/May 2013: collection of the applications;
- June 2013: selection of the winning students;
- June 2013: defining the program of the selected students;
- September 2013: the Program starts;
- A.Y. 2013-2014: carrying out of the Program;
- July 2014: the Program ends.

United Nations University Scholarships for Developing Country Students

The Japan Foundation for UNU (JFUNU) Scholarship is available for outstanding applicants from developing countries who can demonstrate a need for financial assistance and who are granted admissions to UNU-ISP.

Admission Requirements

Applicants for the Master of Science in Sustainability, Development, and Peace are required to have met the following requirements by the application deadline in order to be considered:
1. A completed bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) from a recognised university or institution of higher education
Those who expect to graduate and have a bachelor’s degree or its equivalent conferred before enrolment may also apply.
2. A particular interest and career aspiration in at least one of the following thematic areas:

• Global Change and Sustainability
• Peace and Security
• International Cooperation and Development

3. English language proficiency
The minimum score requirements for English language qualifications required by UNU-ISP are:

• 600 in TOEFL - Paper-Based Testing (PBT)
• 100 in TOEFL - Internet-Based Testing (iBT)
• 7.0 in IELTS - Academic format

Applicants, except for the cases below, must submit original TOEFL or IELTS score reports (from a test taken within the last two years) to Admissions Office at the time of application:

1. Applicants whose first language is English.
2. Applicants who graduated from a university or a postgraduate school located in an English speaking country.
3. Applicants who completed an undergraduate or postgraduate degree programme where the language of instruction and examination was English. In this case, an official statement from the academic institution will be required, confirming the use of English as the language of instruction and examination.

UNU-ISP requires original TOEFL/IELTS score reports (no photocopies accepted).
